KIYA LIFE, officially recognized as “Keeping Indigenous Youth Alive,” is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Indigenous youth on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota through education, cultural preservation, employment opportunities and community engagement.
Our mission is to provide essential resources, engagement opportunities, and cultural preservation programs that foster growth, resilience, and a sense of community among Indigenous youth on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
At KIYALIFE.org, we host a variety of activities including the Annual Chief Old Man Afraid of His Horses Memorial Pow-wow, youth camps, ribbon skirt making, Christmas giveaways, feeding the people. We also have organized many give aways of essential items including blankets, space heaters new and used clothing.

Kiya.life has also organized community building projects, including, the pow-wow arbor, community park and playgrounds. We are also in the start up of a log cabin build project for Kiya.life activities.
Over the years, we have helped countless individuals and families. Our success stories are a testament to the impact of our activities. We have hosted the Chief Old Man Afraid of His Horses Annual Pow-wow, 2023 Payabaya Community Park Project.
